Remotely piloted aircraft for medium-altitude and long-range operations, developed as part of a four-nation programme involving France, Germany, Italy and Spain. The twin-turboprop Eurodrone is the first uncrewed system designed to fly in non-segregated airspace for military and civil missions, with strategic capabilities and advanced performance. Its features include mission modularity for operational superiority in Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions.
Leonardo is a technology partner of the Skydweller project, the first solar-powered drone capable of carrying large payloads with unlimited persistence in flight. Designed to fly at a maximum altitude of 14,000 metres (45,000 ft) and at a cruising speed of 25-50 knots, it can be deployed for land and sea surveillance, environmental and infrastructure monitoring, geo-information services, telecommunications and precision navigation.
AWHERO is the leading 200 kg class rotary UAS leveraging on Leonardo’s strength and extensive experience in rotorcraft development and system integration. It is capable of providing operational superiority in complex roles and tasks ensuring maximum mission availability and effectiveness.
AWHERO is also at the forefront of Crewed-Uncrewed Teaming, channeling Leonardo expertise in rotorcraft and uncrewed systems. When operating alongside Leonardo’s helicopters, it significantly enhances mission’s operational efficiency and effects during land, littoral and blue-water operations.
HITFIST® is a family of small-calibre turrets for land defence. The crewed version is a two-person power operated turret incorporating the Iatest technologies in the fields of electronics, protection, signature and Man Machine Interface (MMI).
The new uncrewed version integrates the mechanically powered and ITAR-free Leonardo 30mm X-GUN. The turret is exceptionally compact, light, and effective against all types of asymmetric threats with its integration of air burst ammunition.
Eurodrone is a joint European programme to answer future UAS requirements.
It has been launched by Leonardo, Airbus D&S and Dassault Aviation as a joint industrial-government initiative. The programme is backed by the governments of France, Germany, Spain and Italy.
CREX- B is a very affordable micro UAS specifically designed for Special Operational and Tactical Forces for "over the hill" and "around the corner" intelligence missions.
