AWHERO is the leading 200 kg class rotary UAS leveraging on Leonardo’s strength and extensive experience in rotorcraft development and system integration. It is capable of providing operational superiority in complex roles and tasks ensuring maximum mission availability and effectiveness.
AWHERO is also at the forefront of Crewed-Uncrewed Teaming, channeling Leonardo expertise in rotorcraft and uncrewed systems. When operating alongside Leonardo’s helicopters, it significantly enhances mission’s operational efficiency and effects during land, littoral and blue-water operations.
The M-346FA (Fighter Attack) is a ‘light combat’ version of the M-346 advanced trainer with multi-role capabilities including close air support missions, even in urban areas, battlespace air interdiction for national defence and tactical reconnaissance.
HITFIST® is a family of small-calibre turrets for land defence. The crewed version is a two-person power operated turret incorporating the Iatest technologies in the fields of electronics, protection, signature and Man Machine Interface (MMI).
The new uncrewed version integrates the mechanically powered and ITAR-free Leonardo 30mm X-GUN. The turret is exceptionally compact, light, and effective against all types of asymmetric threats with its integration of air burst ammunition.
The participants in the Eurofighter programme, managed by the consortium Eurofighter GmbH, are Leonardo, BAE Systems and Airbus Defence & Space. The procurement requirements of the air forces of the four partner nations – Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany and Spain – are managed by the NATO Eurofighter & Tornado Management Agency (NETMA).
The M-346 is a jet aircraft optimised for advanced military pilot training, offering a broad range of training capabilities combined with long-term reliability. At the heart of a complex and integrated training system, the M-346 is already in service with the air forces of Italy, Singapore, Israel, Poland, Qatar and Greece.
Widely recognised as the most effective multi-role military transport aircraft in its size class, the C-27J Next Generation features new avionics and aerodynamic developments for greater efficiency and improved operating performance.
The ATR 42MP is designed to carry out long-endurance maritime surveillance missions, and features an advanced mission system, sensors and a complete communication suite. The aircraft retains the reliability, maintainability, low lifecycle cost and comfort features of the ATR 42 regional turboprop aircraft on which it is based.
The ATR 72MP is a twin-turboprop aircraft optimised for even the most complex maritime patrol missions. The aircraft retains the reliability, maintainability, low lifecycle cost and comfort features of the ATR 72-600 on which it is based, while also including a state-of-the-art mission system, advanced sensors and a complete communication suite.
Eurodrone is a joint European programme to answer future UAS requirements.
It has been launched by Leonardo, Airbus D&S and Dassault Aviation as a joint industrial-government initiative. The programme is backed by the governments of France, Germany, Spain and Italy.
CREX- B is a very affordable micro UAS specifically designed for Special Operational and Tactical Forces for "over the hill" and "around the corner" intelligence missions.
The M-345 is an innovative jet aircraft designed for basic and advanced training of military pilots, both Italian and from other countries' air forces. Developed and built at Leonardo's Venegono (Varese, Italy) site, it is designated T-345A by the Italian Air Force, with the letter T emphasising its role as a trainer.
Together with the M-346, it is an integral part of an integrated training system that includes advanced simulators, ground training devices and LVC (Live, Virtual and Constructive) technology, which allows real-time interaction between pilots (students and instructors) in flight or on the ground, simulators and computer-generated forces, offering complex and realistic tactical scenarios – a capability now provided by the M-346.
The BOWMAN BMDT-3 notebook computer brings exceptional rugged computing performance and flexibility to the field and is designed to survive the harshest environment.
As a Boeing strategic risk sharing partner, we develop and manufacture about a 14% share of 787’s airframe: the horizontal stabilizer at its Foggia plant, both central fuselage sections at its innovative plant in Grottaglie through “one piece barrel” advanced technology, plus frames, shear-ties in Pomigliano D’Arco and metal alloy machined parts in Nola.
To prepare its crews for the demanding missions where the Falco UAS operates, Leonardo has created a line of products devoted to the Falco and to its evolutions. Used primarily as training environment for the Falco Users and Company asset for the certification of Leonardo pilots, it is also employed to test new features involving performance variations, Emergencies and Malfunctions etc..
Gabbiano Radar is developed to meet the need of patrolling and surveillance in all weather conditions on ground and sea, providing a full set of operational modes including High Resolution SAR/ISAR with submetric resolution.
State-of-the-art, Compact, X-band radar for all-weather sea, ground and air surveillance. Gabbiano TS Ultra-Light surveillance radar provides long and short range surveillance capabilities for both civilian and military forces.
